CBS 3’S UKEE WASHINGTON TO BE HONORED BY PRESBY AS 2017 INSPIRED SERVICE AWARD RECIPIENT

The longtime Philadelphia news staple will be honored Thursday during the annual Inspired Service Recognition Dinner for his dedication to supporting people 62 and better in our area.

Longtime CBS 3 anchor Ukee Washington will be honored by Presby’s Inspired Life as the 2017 Inspired Service Award recipient on Thursday night during this year’s Inspired Service Recognition Dinner.

A trusted voice and Philadelphia television staple for over 30 years, Washington has used his platform to bring issues, including those that face people 62 and better in our area every day, to the forefront of conversation and has been a driving force of support.

The lead anchor of “Eyewitness News” on CBS 3, Washington also hosts the network’s popular “Brotherly Love” segment, which profiles those making a positive impact within the greater Philadelphia community.

The Inspired Service Recognition Dinner is the most significant annual fundraising event within Presby’s ministry. This special occasion provides a unique opportunity to honor an individual or organization that shares influence and expertise to successfully impact issues facing older adults.

This year’s event will take place at the City Avenue Hilton Hotel in Philadelphia and will begin with a cocktail hour and silent art auction at 5 p.m. Dinner and the award ceremony will follow. Washington is scheduled to receive the award and speak at approximately 7:35 p.m.
