Presby celebrates 2018 Compassionate Care Day at Morrisville

Residents, family and team members gathered to recognize the continued displays of Compassionate Care within the community.

Compassionate Care is on display for all to see every day at Morrisville. And this past Tuesday, it was celebrated by residents, family and team members.

Presby recognized a gracious benefactor’s generous gifts to Morrisville and its residents during the Compassionate Care Day celebration. This benefactor’s benevolent spirit has contributed to the Compassionate Care Fund, which is a unique fund for donors of all levels to affirm Presby’s commitment of ensuring quality living experiences to residents in need.

This benefactor’s gifts have allowed for the residents of Morrisville to purchase needed hearing aids, dental replacements, adjustable beds and even a complete set of home furnishings for a new residents who was unable to afford such necessities that can be taken for granted.

“I thank you so much for this generous gift of Compassionate Care,” Morrisville resident Mary Bauer said. “The sofa you purchased for me is a very special blessing.”

“With this gift, I was able to purchase a new bed following my hernia surgery,” resident Kathy Jablonski said. “It’s been about a year and I have not had one night of anything that would stop me from sleeping. All because of this gift.”

After presentations by Morrisville Senior Housing Manager Damaris Molina, Presby VP of Philanthropy and Mission Support Lynn Johnson-Porter, Presby Executive Director of Affordable Housing Bill Canteen and Presby President and CEO Judee Bavaria, all in attendance enjoyed lunch and dessert.
