Presby’s Day of Inspiration Ignites Change for Communities & Residents

In recognition of the 60th Anniversary of Presby’s Inspired Life, more than 100 volunteers–staff, residents, board members and many more–gave of their time on April 30, 2015 to help our residents, our communities and our neighbors. Various volunteer projects were held at 6 different Presby’s Inspired Life locations. While the impact can never truly be measured, below is a recap of each activity. If you were unable to participate this year, mark your calendar’s for April 2016–Presby’s Day of Inspiration will become an annual event.
RYDAL PARK: More than 546 pounds of canned goods were shared with the Interfaith Food Cupboard in Abington Township and the Riverside Presbyterian Apartments.
JACKSON PLACE: The Emanuel Weinberg Park , located directly across from Jackson Place Apartments, now serves as an “oasis” in South Philadelphia due to the more than 25 volunteers including Judee Bavaria, team members, residents, and friends from throughout the neighborhood who dedicated their time and enthusiasm to this project.
ROSEMONT: Smiles resulted when volunteers staffed the White Elephant and donated blossoms to the 58th Street Campus.
BROOMALL: More than 400 pairs of socks were donated to the delight of residents at Broomall.
58TH STREET: The magnificent community gardens at The 58th Street Campus are now alive with beautiful florals thanks to over 20 volunteers from Rosemont, Affordable Housing and CSC!
SPRING MILL: Springing into action, Spring Mill raised $1,000.00 for two horticultural stations for residents to enjoy.
