Rydal Park CNA Wins Statewide Award for Outstanding Service
June 18, 2015
Terrina Reed, CNA at Rydal Park, was awarded the 2015 Distinguished Service Award from LeadingAge PA, a trade association representing Pennsylvania not-for-profit organizations that provide housing, healthcare and community services primarily to the elderly, at the organization’s annual conference in Hershey, PA on June 17.
Established in 1973, the LeadingAge PA Distinguished Service Awards were created to honor individuals and groups who are making a difference through their commitment and service. “These exceptional people give their time, talents and abundant energy to their facilities and the field of aging and demonstrate a deep commitment to serving seniors,” states LeadingAge PA. Currently employed by Presby’s Inspired Life as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at the organization’s Rydal Park community, Terrina was nominated by Presby’s Inspired Life in the Caregiver of the Year – Direct Care, category. She was selected from amongst her peers, who are also serving in the field of senior care, across the state of Pennsylvania.
Terrina has been a valued member of the staff at Rydal Park since 2008. As a Certified Nursing Assistant for Rydal Park’s third floor, short-term rehab unit, Terrina provides exceptional service that exceeds residents’ expectations on a daily basis. “She is kind and caring in her ways and shows empathy and compassion with her residents. She speaks out her ideas and always looks for ways to make work more efficient for her co-workers,” said a former colleague.
Terrina accepted her award from Angela Dohrman, immediate past chair of LeadingAge PA. More than 1,000 individuals, including members of Terrina’ family and colleagues of Presby’s Inspired Life were in attendance at the awards ceremony.
