Tamala Edwards to Accept Award for WPVI’s “Art of Aging” Series From Presby’s Inspired Life

ch6_1(Lafayette Hill, PA) –Tamala Edwards, Anchor/Reporter for WPVI-TV/Ch.6, will accept an award on behalf of the station for its “Art of Aging” series, at an event on October 29 hosted by Presby’s Inspired Life (Presby), a Lafayette Hill-based provider of continuing care and Affordable Housing for seniors. The event, entitled “Inspired Service,” will take place at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue.
Airing on Thursday afternoons and hosted by 6abc’s veteran anchors, Lisa Thomas-Laury and Tamala Edwards, the “Art of Aging” series aims to connect older adults in the Delaware Valley with top local health, financial and leisure resources. As the only series of its kind in the Philadelphia market, the “Art of Aging” series has grown to become a valuable news portal for not only seniors, but also for those who care for them.

The event, which begins at 5:30 p.m., will take place at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue, 4200 City Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131. Proceeds from “Inspired Service” will support resident financial assistance and quality of life programming throughout Presby’s continuing care and Affordable Housing communities.  The award ceremony will take place at approximately 7:30 pm.  A regional leader in senior living care, Presby’s Inspired Life is a not-for-profit, faith-based ministry that provides continuing care and Affordable Housing to more than 3,000 seniors in 33 communities located throughout the greater Philadelphia area.
