(Lafayette Hill, PA) - Michelle T. Bryk, Jeffersonville, PA, has been appointed vice president of human resources at Presby’s Inspired Life, a Lafayette Hill-based Delaware Valley leading not-for-profit provider of continuing care and affordable housing for seniors.
The multi-site organization, which maintains more than 900 employees, provides independent and assisted living, skilled nursing care and affordable housing to more than 2,600 residents at 29 locations throughout the Greater Philadelphia Valley.
In announcing her appointment, Presby’s Inspired Life President and CEO Judee M. Bavaria said Bryk will be responsible for organization-wide strategic direction and implementation of human resources initiatives that include recruitment and retention, employee recognition, training and development, benefits and compensation, as well as organizational development. She will also play an integral role on the nine-member senior executive team, Bavaria said.
Most recently, Bryk was director of employee relations for ACTS Retirement-Life Communities Inc., West Point, PA where, through her leadership efforts, the organization was awarded both the 2008 Pennsylvania Association of Non-profit Senior Services Innovative Program of the Year Award and the 2006 Greater Valley Forge Human Resources Association Diversity Award Recognition.

Bryk holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from DeSales University, Center Valley, PA; a Master of Science Degree in Health Care Administration with a concentration in Community Health from Kings College, Wilkes-Barre, PA; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA; and a Certificate in Human Resources Management - Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Society for Human Resource Management.
Bryk is an active member of the following professional associations: the Society of Human Resources Management; the Greater Valley Forge Human Resources Association, member of the Diversity Committee; the Pennsylvania Association of Non-profit Senior Services, Board member; the Southeastern Pennsylvania Association of Non-profit Senior Services, Board member, Human Resources Committee Chair and Staff Development Committee member; and the public speaking organization, Toastmasters International.
